Today I received the photo of my work in last year's art festival 'HANARART' held in Nara from the organization. It brings back a lot of memories. I played improvised music on the djembe at that place then. In this kind of improvisation, I transform the shape of the object or the atmosphere of the place into sounds of instruments, not provide music for the object or the place as BGM. I recommend you closing your eyes when you listen to improvised music, if you are interested in feeling how the rhythm and sounds work in the player. I think it's the best way to share things inside the player's brain and how comfortable he or she is as improvising. Try putting aside things you see with your eyes and concentrate on the sounds or the present moment.
